Judges

[ANNOUNCEMENT]
Here are the Judges who will be reviewing the submissions to the Los Angeles Photography Awards. We list their names as they confirm their active presence with us.
GERALDINE BEIGBEDER (FRANCE)
Géraldine is our first confirmed Judge.
Géraldine is the european representative of Norman Reedus and Pete Doherty for their art and photography and painting work.
Paris-based, she is a recognized novelist, screen writer, visual artist and designer.

Beigbeder’s best known novels are Sponsors (Editions Ramsay, 2007) and Larguée en périphérie de la zone politique et autres petits désordres organiques (Albin Michel, 2011).

She has written screenplays with Jean-Luc Azoulay and created sitcoms for French major TV channels TF1, France 2 and M6.

NOEMIE SAUVE (FRANCE)
Noémie Sauve -AKA Patience Flamme- (FRANCE) is our second confirmed Judge. She is a multi-tasking artist, using various media – drawing, painting, sculpture, disconographies, etc. – to express her observations and feed her creative process.

Based on a fundamental questioning on how to live in a widely anthropized world, Noémie multiplies initiatives aimed at occupying a territory simply by living there.

Her work has been exhibited at Drawing Now Paris, the YIA Art Fair, Art Paris, the Château de Servières in Marseille (as part of Pareïdolie, international fair of contemporary drawing), L’Aparté (venue for contemporary art in Brittany), and the Centre Wallonie Bruxelles in Paris.

KRISTINA MAKEEVA (RUSSIA)
Kristina Makeeva -AKA Hobopeeba- (RUSSIA) joins our team of international Judges.
Kristina was born at 1987 in Moscow region. She start to work with Photoshop in age 13 and start to make photos in age 15 years. Graduated from Moscow University of Culture and Arts. From the early years of creativity, Kristina began her basic project of Simple Magic Things. The main idea of this project: beauty surrounds the person in every ordinary thing (snow outside the window, steam over a cup of hot tea, autumn leaf, …). The more a list of magical things, the happier a person is. Simple magical things are designed to help notice the grains of beauty in everyday life.
